BBQ : Reuse of meat marinade in a "water/charcoal smoker" water pan.?

I have been taught that it is unsafe to reuse any raw marinade juices from meat and to toss it. What a waste! However, I have a Brinkmann "Smoke’n Grill" charcoal smoker. I have marinated ribs and chicken (separately of course) in Apple Cider, etc. overnight in the refrigerator. My question is; Is it safe [...]

How do u set up the smoker? Where does the water go above or below the charcoal?

the water goes above the charcoal and it makes the meat really tender and juicy cuz the water evaporates and soaks into the meat. smokers are awesome

I was given a hookah, and It came with charcoal tabs to keep it lit?

Do experienced smokers really use those? I dont think I want to inhale charcoal smoke. How do you use yours?
I think cdfuser is confusing a hookah with a water bong.
With a hookah you must place the shisha in the bowl and cover it with foil. Poke some holes with a toothpick or sewing needle [...]

Bacon Wrapped Dove Breast
For this recipe, you’ll need a few mushrooms, sliced about 1/4 inch thick, sliced bacon, black pepper and toothpicks or skewers. Season the dove meat lightly with pepper. Lay a mushroom slice on each breast half, then wrap with half of a slice of bacon. Secure the tidbit with [...]

How much charcoal & wood would you need for 6hr at 200 degree on a smoker with side box?

I would say two large bags of charcoal to be safe although you will probably only use the one, and same amount of wood, also, soak some wood chips, or hickory nuts, in water or apple juice, works so well. We have a hickory tree in our yard and I gather the nuts that [...]

UDS Ugly Drum Smoker - BBQ - Pt. 3

This is the completed UDS. I’ve got entirely too much money tied up into this project. If I had more time, I could have scavenged most of the parts or picked them up cheaper at yard sales.
I built this smoker in just around 5 hours. That includes the burn out time and painting.
Parts list:
